Factions, alliances, territory
Factions of up to four, each under its own banner. Your territory is 2 × 2 chunks a player and nobody may grief it; everything outside it is contested.
Monkey SMP is a modded factions server on Minecraft Java 26.3 (Fabric) for a small crowd that plays evenings, Pacific time. Factions of four, alliances, banner-marked territory, PvP outside your walls, reworked terrain, new dungeons, mobs and magic.

Tectonic and Terralith reshape the overworld, Incendium the Nether, Nullscape the End. Dungeons, taverns and capitals are scattered across it.
Strength SMP is the centerpiece: win fights and your strength grows, lose them and it drains away. Every fight has stakes.
Proximity voice chat is built in. Negotiate at the border, or hear them coming.
BlueMap renders the world in 3D in your browser, so you can plan the next expedition before logging in.
A fast dedicated CPU, a pre-generated world and tuned mob ticking keep it at 20 TPS for the crowd we let in.
Screenshots from the server's own world, taken with the shaders that ship in the pack.
Buy it with your Minecraft Java name. You're on the whitelist within a minute or two, and you get the member role in the Discord.
The server adds blocks, mobs and items, so you need the pack (about 520 MB). Import it into the Modrinth App or Prism Launcher, or use the installer for the regular Minecraft Launcher. Get the modpack.
Multiplayer, Add Server, monkeysmp.lscaturchio.xyz. No port needed.
The game wants about 6 GB of memory and a mid-range graphics card.
One price to play, the same for everyone. Supporter tiers are cosmetic only: nothing that helps
you fight, build faster or earn more. Everyone earns wardrobe skins for swords and helmets just by playing:
days online, months on the pass and friends invited (/trigger wardrobe in game).
$5 / month
or $12 for 3 months
| Ember $3 / mo | Chat name color, supporter tag in the Discord, the Lantern sword skin |
|---|---|
| Banner $7 / mo | Ember, plus a title of your choice, your faction's banner in the spawn hall and the Standard sword skin |
| Crown $15 / mo | Banner, plus the Crown helmet and Regalia sword skins, your name on the founders' wall and a vote on next season's mods and events |
When a friend buys a pass and names you at checkout, you earn supporter time:
Your friends pay the same price as everyone else. Mojang's rules require one price for access, so invites earn perks rather than discounts.
The server costs about $62 a month to run: the machine, backups off-site, and the fallback tunnel. Everything above that goes back into the server first: a reserve, faster hardware when it fills up, and events. Each month we post what came in and what it paid for in the Discord.
Streaming or making videos on the server? Ask in the Discord about a creator code.
Season I, hosted by Diego and Lorenzo Scaturchio. The full rulebook, every numbered rule and ban, is pinned in the Discord; if a rule turns out unfun or unfair, it changes with player feedback.
For the first hour, PvP, the Nether and the End are closed; then PvP and only the Nether open, and the End opens when we announce it. No Netherite armor until we say so: the smithing table won't make it, and armor you find comes off at your feet (Netherite tools and weapons are fine). The world border is 2500 × 2500 around spawn and grows as the server does.
Factions of up to four, public, each with a banner. Alliances yes, confederations no. Your territory is 2 × 2 chunks a player, marked with your banner, or the inside of your base or walls at least 3 blocks tall. Nobody griefs, robs or farms a territory; everything outside one is fair game. Every base needs one feature visible from the surface.
You're in combat once someone hits you. No combat logging, no killing naked or AFK players, no restocking mid-fight, and no rejoining a team fight for 10 minutes after you die. Land elytra 50 blocks out, no elytra or lava in combat, no Happy Ghast PvP, and stay within about 30 blocks of shore.
Craft Strength only up to +3. Use Strength you're given right away unless you're at +5, and don't ender-chest it below +5. No Strength on arrows or on other players.
Enchanted maces, ender pearls and enchanted golden apples (crafting only), totems, crystal PvP, bed bombing, TNT minecarts, escape tunnels, and debuffs on others, except Slowness I, Weakness I, Poison I, Instant Harming I and Turtle Master from a bow or crossbow. Fire Aspect and Flame are switched off on the server.
No hacked clients, x-ray of any kind (including the cushion glitch, F3+A and reloading shaders), duping, health indicators, CIT packs, or Replay Mod and Flashback for an edge. No exploits, no loopholes, no account sharing. Not sure? Ask an admin first.
Nobody tampers with spawn or the admin building, and no TNT traps there.
No slurs, hate, harassment or sharing anyone's personal information. Keep it all-ages, no stream sniping without permission, and no buying or selling anything for real money.
Enforcement goes warning, temporary ban, permanent ban. Cheating, hate and doxxing can skip straight to a ban. A ban doesn't refund time already paid for.
A modded server this size needs a fast dedicated CPU to stay smooth, and the pass keeps out players who are only there to wreck things. The pass pays for the machine; anything above that goes back into it.
No. Monkey SMP is Java Edition with mods, so it needs a computer: Windows, macOS or Linux.
We cap the server where it stays at full speed, about 25 online at once. When it fills up, we open a waitlist before we add anyone.
If you can't get the pack to run in your first 48 hours, ask in the Discord and you get your money back. After that, passes don't renew unless you keep them on, so you can stop any time.
Welcome. Ask a parent or guardian before buying anything. The server and the Discord are moderated all-ages spaces.
Updates are announced in the Discord, with a five-minute warning in chat. When the mod list changes, the Modrinth App updates the pack for you; otherwise reinstall it from the modpack link.
The logo and banners, free to use when you post about the server: videos, server lists, your own Discord.
